Your Home

This corner-lot home is the picture of charming Glenview traditional bungalow architecture. Situated on a gentle rise, the home with an open floor plan showcases light, airy rooms, and magical outdoor spaces. The home is enjoying a breath of fresh air after recent renovations that brought the circa-1921 house into the 21st century while keeping a thoughtful eye on its past.

You know what they say about first impressions, and entering the spacious foyer of this home is a lovely introduction of the space to come. The bay window in the formal living room serves as the focal point of the home. The open and airy room features original oak floors that seamlessly connect all the spaces in the home, and a custom fireplace. With plenty of room for friends and family to gather, the formal dining room conveniently opens to the kitchen, while large sliding glass doors suffuse the room with light, and lead to the side yard — and beyond, to a deck with seating area (a backdrop to outdoor meals) and the private, serene rear yard.

The newly remodeled kitchen feels reawakened with white cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and carrera quartz counters (plus an uber-convenient stackable washer/dryer inconspicuously tucked away in the back corner) — transforming a dated space into a bright, contemporary kitchen.

Each of the three bedrooms is fresh and light, for a peaceful slumber and private retreat; neutral palettes were chosen to create your own dreamy style. New flooring, fixtures, and vanity create an updated space in the bathroom, while the chic black-and-white color scheme is a nod to period style.

Oakland is well-loved for its sunny skies and mild year-round weather, which makes an outdoor living space all the more desirable. The re-imaginined backyard is a relaxing retreat, with spaces for dining, entertaining, cooking, gardening — and plenty of play. A mix of lawn and hardscape create versatility, and the possibilities in this expansive outdoor space are endless.

Friendly neighbors and wonderfully walkable — with ready access to the shops and restaurants of Park Boulevard, local schools, and commute options, and easy entrance to highways. Characterized by California Bungalow and Mission Revival style homes on gently inclining, tree-lined streets, Glenview is a lovely place to put down roots.

Neighborhood

Glenview
Situated in the Oakland foothills, Glenview is a small residential neighborhood full of are single-family bungalows and traditionally styled dwellings dating back to the 1920s and ‘30s. Most of the businesses in Glenview are mom-and-pop shops and include a market and several salons. Highly rated restaurants such as Bellanico and Blackberry Bistro add some gourmet flair to the Park Boulevard business district, which offers great vistas of the bay. The Glenview Neighborhood Association and Glenfriends have adopted Park Boulevard, sponsoring the Park Boulevard Median Cleanup and Planting Day on the boulevard median.
Twelve-acre Dimond Park runs along Glenview's eastern side, with oak and redwood trees populating the green space. Amenities include picnic areas, playgrounds, and a swimming pool.
